I am a graphic and website designer specializing in design for websites, email newsletters, and print media. Goodtravel Design provides services for small business owners who realize the importance of having visible and multi-dimensional communications for their business. I focus on maintaining an easy-to-work with relationship while providing efficient, personalized service at a favorable cost to the small business owner. I am located in the Raleigh/Durham North Carolina area but have capabilities to work throughout the US and Europe.

All small businesses, at minimum, could use a very basic web presence to tell others about their business. Quite often, these businesses don’t have a large budget for such things. That’s where Goodtravel Design comes in - affordable costs for website design, maintenance, and other important marketing services. Goodtravel designs strives to produce products that match high-industry standards.

I began my work as a part-time freelance web designer and gained industry experience by working for Preation, Inc. Through them, I worked with a team of talented designers and programmers to create and implement professional websites and email newsletters for various international companies.

I currently work as a Service Desk Manager at MCNC, managing the virtual service desk and support for North Carolina's K-20 customers. In 2004, I became the Assistant Program Director of ResNET at UNC-Chapel Hill. ResNET is an organization that provides on-site support and technical training to the student body at UNC. I managed 50 undergraduate students and trained them to provide computer support and IT education classes to their fellow peers. After achieving a B.S. in Operations Research at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2002, I stayed in Chapel Hill working as an IT Analyst providing over-the-phone and web support to students, faculty and staff on campus.

I enjoy keeping up with the world of technology and design. I have worked in web design since 2000. I am trained and have gained experience in graphic design using Adobe packages including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash. I write code in XHTML, CSS, and PHP, which allows me to build very creative and dynamic websites. I spend time on my blog and Twitter sharing some of my thoughts and knowledge to help others.

I strive to make the web design process a pleasurable experience and provide you with a "Good Travel" towards growing your business through the web.

For those of you who are keen on foreign languages, you may have picked up that "Buenviaje" = "Goodtravel" in Spanish. Like my relatives from the Philippines, I have a natural instinct to travel and explore exotic places.

Outside of work, my wife, Jennifer is the highlight of my day. Jennifer and I were recently married in May 2008 on the beach of Jamaica. 54 of our closest friends and family were able to fly down and join us on this special occasion. Currently, my wife and I live in North Carolina with our two children (a.k.a. puppies), Rocco and Roxy.

Music plays a major role in my life. I enjoy a wide variety of music including bands such as Radiohead, The Doves, The Flaming Lips, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Shout Out Louds. Currently, I play bass guitar in a Chapel Hill based band called The Honored Guests. The Honored Guests is on a label called Breakfast Mascot Records and we have played many tours throughout the US since 2003.
